Special Instructions for your visit to Retina Consultations:

  • You will be given a thorough eye examination, please be prepared to spend at least two hours in our office. If we perform special tests or treatments, you may need to spend several additional hours in our office.
  • We sometimes see emergency patients which can delay the schedule. Please leave a number at which we can reach you just before your appointment. If we are running more than one hour late, the staff will try to contact you before your appointment.
  • Please bring all of your medications and your best pair of distance eye glasses with you.
  • Both of your eyes will be dilated; this will blur your vision for the rest of the day. Please bring a companion to help you get home after the examination. We do not recommend driving yourself home after a retina examination.
  • You will be sensitive to light after the examination, please bring a pair of sunglasses with you.
